"you better hold on tight, spider monkey"--edward cullen

So as much as I would like to talk about my favorite songs (and the post will come I promise), it IS the end of the weekend, so I'll recap that instead.

So Friday was my last day of work and it wasn't as sad as I thought...maybe that's because I worked til 730 or because I'll be back tomorrow to talk to my [old] boss and I'll see several co-workers at my wedding, but in any case, I didn't shed any tears. My boss and some co-workers took me out to lunch at Moonshine and then later that day they had a "send-off/bridal shower" party for me. They gave me a cute little veil with these pink cutouts of high heels and martini glasses and on them was Sex and the City trivia!!!!!!! If I answered the questions right, I got a present. I can happily say I got 10/10 right and they thought they would stump me! No. Anyway they got me all sorts of things I can use on my travels and then a larger present from the office, it was very sweet. Then Hailey and I worked til 730. (Yeah I know, but I didn't want to leave my boss hanging) then I just went home, went to target and that's about it. **side note: Baylor may only beat A&M, but Lake Travis is kicking some serious ass, at least I have one alma mater to be proud of! Go Cavs, go!**

Saturday my mom and I headed to Houston for a wedding. We stopped at Harwin, and my mom got me a really cute travel purse for christmas, so I can't use it til then, boo. Then we met Shea for lunch at Le Madeleine, and then to change for the wedding. It turned out to be a real country wedding, and Shea and I attacked the open bar with glee. The food and everything was good and unfortunately teh DJ sucked, how do you go from playing 3 70's songs to 5 country songs to 1 random song, to 5 more country and then like 3 rap songs..in a row, that was the order, there was no variety.. lame. Anyway, thank you open bar and thank you groomsmen who were so wasted they were entertaining to watch. (I doubt our reception will be much different) **side note: I did spend a lot of time checking my mom's iphone and the OU/TT score. SIC'EM SOONERS! I've never been so proud to be part Sooner in my life (thanks dad & chris)**

Today, we just woke up, my mom took me to breakfast and then we stopped at almost every Walmart on the way home. I talked to Chris (WHO COMES HOME ON WEDNESDAY!!!!!!!!), took a quick nap and then went to meet Colleen at the Drafthouse to see Twilight. More power to her, this was the 2nd time she saw it. I would not advise you to see this movie if you didn't read the books (Not that you would go anyway). The previews led me to believe the movie was quite cheesy and yes, the movie ended up being as Colleen said "unexpectantly hilarious". Everything was just SOOO over dramatic, omg. And had I not read the books, I would have been very lost. The 2 things I definitely DID like about this movie was the guy who played Edward Cullen, (main character) minus the dramatic eye movement and the soundtrack - which I will be adding to my Christmas list. Anyway, as cheesy as it was, I'm sure if they end up making the rest of the series into movies, I'll go see those too. ;)

So it's kind of weird to know I'm not going to work tomorrow (also not true, I will be stopping by to drop off my key and parking pass) but I have about 100+ things to do tomorrow so I won't be bored. Also it's Chris' dad's birthday tomorrow, so I will be having dinner with them and also it's Rosie's (and about 25 other people's bdays as well, facebook tells me).

peace!
