gobble, gobble
Happy Thanksgiving!
Today I thought I would just give the shortlist of things I am thankful for...because when I look back on the past year, there is a lot.
First and foremost, a year ago to the Friday after thanksgiving (so tomorrow I guess, but probably this date actually) my dad was rushed to the ER and was placed in ICU for what they think was either a mild stroke or heart attack, symptoms pointed to both, so there you go. It was one of the scariest moments in my life and I was thankful for my brother being here and for Chris as well. I am thankful for my family and my dad. I know his health is not currently the best but he is still with us and that is the main thing.
I am thankful for my parents (separately from above), they have been some of the most supportive parents I have ever known and I am going to miss them so much when I move. I am glad I was able to spend the past year with them under their roof.
I am thankful for Chris. He is the most amazing person I have ever met and he makes me want to be a better person. He knows me and gets me like no one else does and I am thankful that in 9 (!!) days I can call him my husband. I am so excited to spend my life with this person. (I am also very thankful he is here to spend Thanksgiving here and with our families)
I am thankful for my friends: my besties, my austinites, my saudi friends, work friends, all of them. I am blessed to have friends from all over the world who are some of the best people ever. Today, I am thankful for them and for you blog readers ;)
I am thankful for my health, the roof over my head, for the food I am able to eat today and for love.
