let me start off by saying i had intended to be very productive today, it is one of 2 of my "free" days til Chris comes so I wanted to have things done...
The list of things I needed to do included but not limited to:
-send in all vendor payments
-go to Michael's, buy one spool of ribbon, check out picture frames, buy 2 more placecard packs and 2 guestbook pens and possibly ring bearer pillow, right now the only thing he may be holding is the flower girl's hand
-have lunch with my boss..ok, old boss, finish cleaning up my cube and turn in my parking pass, elevator pass and office key
-take my dad to walmart
-go to chris' parents house for dinner for papa b's birthday
things I actually accomplished:
-wrote many checks to vendors (also chased some down, AS WELL as the bridesmaid dress shop, because laura bundy's dress came in pink, not brown...let's just say, the wedding was going all too smoothly, so SOMETHING had to happen. it's fine, it's fine)
-went to lunch/old office
-went to walmart
-on my way to dinner
I went to lunch with my boss and all of my old coworkers kept asking "so what are you doing now?" or "why are you here?" my responses being, "i don't know, i've been out of work for about 5 hours (we're counting monday as the first day of unemployment) and i'm.still.here" and "i just couldn't stay away". it is actually quite weird not being at my office, granted, i'm not SAD i don't have to work, i just miss my work friends. oh well.
I am actually very excited to have a 3 month vacation, it's sort of like summer break, and never again will I have this break to read, sleep, play, etc. It will be nice to look for a job and know that if I don't find one in a day or a week, I'll still be able to survive. It's like the nicest job looking situation ever. In the midst of all this, I will be unpacking, hanging out with the few people I DO know in Saudi, looking for apartments, jobs, getting ready for honeymoon and packing up our stuff again - yay! and yes I do realize it will get boring at times. I hope Chris appreciates the 3 month housewife because that's all he's getting! ;)
