have you had your latin kiss today?

"cherry-cherry-boom-boom"--lady gaga

Well I think by now, everyone knows I am probably running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I have, had a few minor breakdowns, true. I also have, what I consider, one of the most amazing fiances ever, since he is so good at dealing with my stress levels and bringing them down to normal, almost non-existant levels. No need to go on and on about what they were, since no one really cares and they are so minor no one would even notice anyway. But we DO have a REALLY pretty guest book, I am so proud of that. AND the slideshow I made. :)

Anyway, it's 2am and I should be sleeping but I must be too excited or something so why not blog. So honestly, Thanksgiving flew by, we had lunch with my family and then drove over to Chris' parents' friends house to have dinner there and were completely stuffed. Then we went out and met up with some people at Barcelona which was fun. On Friday, we ran a bunch of errands. Saturday, I went to San Antonio with my mom to get cookies (40 dozen?...don't be surprised if you find a tin of cookies waiting for you on Christmas morning) and all of the arrangements my aunt had made for us.

On Sunday, we had what I called a marathon wedding day. Chris' family came over and so did Gary and Carosa and we made all of the favors. You wouldn't think putting almonds and cookies in a box and tying ribbons and tags on something would take so long, especially with like 7 people helping...but it did. At least my mom kept us fed and we had good company, it was fun. After that, I told Chris I needed to do something mindless, so we went to see Four Christmases. It was definitely mindless, I love Vince Vaughn, but not such a fan of the Vaughn/Witherspoon team-up. But it was short, I laughed, whatevs.

On Monday, we went to get our marriage license (!!) and Chris was just a bit too cute (and excited?) as he practically skipped/ran? to the door...I love him! lol. So that was anti climactic. Then we did a few wedding things and then went Christmas shopping for my parents. All of our parents (except his dad) and sister are all done now! We rock! We also went to Best Buy and he bought 3 CD's, one which would have been mentioned on the "music I'm loving now" post that never happened, but will be mentioned now. He bought the Lady Gaga album. I'm really in love with her "Just Dance" song, so much that I just today added it to our "Must Play" list. The majority of the album is very similar to "Just Dance", very dance-y, catch-y. The lyrics are a bit lame sometimes but if you can get over that, it's a really great CD actually. Things like "p-p-p-oker-face" and "cherry-cherry-boom-boom" are silly but never ceases to get Chris and I laughing like 12 year olds in the car when we all of a sudden burst out in a random song at a stoplight. Oh, love.

On Monday night, we went on a date. I thought it was a good idea to go to dinner and NOT talk about ANYTHING wedding related, but we also wanted to exchange wedding gifts - lol. So we went on a "non-wedding talk - wedding present" date. We went to Roaring Fork because his parents had given us a gift card at one of the showers. We started off with the pan seared scallops and I had the giant jalapeno shrimp with portabello and shrimp enchiladas and he had the tuna special - everything was fantastic! Then we went upstairs to the Intercontinental lounge - the site of our engagement and had some wine and just talked and hung out. It was so nice to not talk about the wedding because sometimes it feels like that's ALL anyone wants to talk about. (read my blog, you'll see, it's easy to get sucked into wedding frenzy!) Anyway I'm sure everyone wants to know what we gave each other, I kept a very good secret and told him I couldn't afford it, but got him the Tag Heuer watch he has been eyeing since April and he gave me this beautiful gold necklace with amethysts (my birthstone) that he got in India. I can't really wear it on the wedding day but I'll be wearing it for the rehearsal dinner. :)

Today, I got a massage and went to the Omni to settle our final bill *ouch* and then came back home, worked on some things, showered, took a nap, went to Chris' for dinner and then out with him, Mutaz and Ed who are in town for the wedding to Cain and Abel's and we left early and now I can't sleep, so go figure, lol.

anyway, THREE MORE DAYS!! seems so crazy, but we are both so ready :) yay! (thus my "wedding week" (thank you charlotte, SaTC) began on Sunday) ;)
